Our Story

Sereia — mermaid in Portuguese — started with a simple frustration: swimwear that looked good on a hanger and behaved badly in the water. Straps that slipped. Colour that faded after a fortnight. Cuts that needed constant adjusting.

We set out to make the opposite. Pieces you forget you're wearing, in colours drawn from the coast rather than the season's trend report. Shapes that flatter without engineering, and hold up to salt, sun and chlorine.

How we work

We keep our range tight and our margins honest. Rather than holding warehouses of stock, each piece is made and shipped to order — which means less waste, and a price that reflects the garment rather than the overhead.

It also means delivery takes a little longer than a next-day marketplace. We think that's a fair trade, and we tell you exactly what to expect before you order.
